2007-2008 SATW FOUNDATION
LOWELL THOMAS TRAVEL JOURNALISM COMPETITION

In the 24th annual competition, several category changes were made. We added categories for Short Travel Article, Travel Broadcast — Audio and Travel Broadcast — Video. We dropped the categories for Self-Illustrated Article, Land Travel and Internet Article. Work done for the Internet could be entered in topic/theme categories.

Members of the Missouri School of Journalism faculty, coordinated by Prof. Katherine Reed, judged the contest. There were 1,356 entries. In the following list of winners, numbers in parentheses denote number of entries in that category.
